“ After our hike in the Polenz Valley, we were naturally quite hungry. We were warmly welcomed by the landlady and asked what we wanted. We chose two game dishes: venison roll and game goulash. We were delighted when we were served a generous portion of these dishes; they were simply delicious and tasted outstanding! Many thanks from Cologne, we'd love to come back! ”

The long walk there leads over a rather bumpy path into a dreamy valley, right to the beautifully renovated restaurant. Ample parking is available. Inside, a quaint, family-friendly atmosphere welcomes you. The hosts are attentive and (when asked) enthusiastically and willingly shared the history of the place, even bringing along pictures. Thus, a simple "lunchtime visit" (the food was fantastic) turned into a convivial gathering. Give it a try! ”

“ Update: After almost a year, we were back here for lunch. Completely spontaneous and without a reservation. We were able to choose a table in the outdoor seating area. The weather was glorious, so we didn't even have to think about whether to sit inside or outside. The menu is rather small, which we appreciate. The prices are absolutely reasonable. We ordered trout (again) and schnitzel. Changing or reducing the side dishes was no problem at all. We received very friendly, relaxed, and attentive service. The food was excellent once again. Thank you, and we will definitely be back. We spontaneously decided to have lunch here last Saturday. Thanks to the good weather, we were able to sit outside, in a very idyllic setting near the Polenz River. We received a very warm welcome and excellent service. The venison and trout were cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely delicious. The prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back. ”
